The Grafx Asset Register is an online database that allows a company to record user details, computers, software, serial numbers, passwords, e-mail and network settings. This information can then be sorted and displayed on screen or printed as a complete site document. With the information being online, the register becomes accessible (subject to password) for use by administrators, internal IT and external support staff. The register is ideal for small to medium size businesses.
The following text comes from BSA (Business Software Alliance)
'Under UK copyright law, directors may be personally liable for software licensing abuse. Penalties may include having to pay damages, fines and cost. The average cost to UK business caught with unlicensed software in 2006 was over £10,000.'
The Grafx register is not linked in any way to the BSA. The register is a tool to help customers manage and be aware of the hardware and software used within their business.
